The Moroccan citrus fruits have achieved a proven reputation. The country produces 1.3 Million tons a year. 530 000 tonnes are dedicated to export. This represents a volume of nearly 3 billion dirhams. The sector contributes to the creation of 21 million working days per year, with 13 000 citrus fruit producers operating a total area of 112.000 hectares. 47% of national farms are equipped with irrigation system.
